These Inseparable Dogs Were Just Rescued Near a Chicago Rail, Showing off an Unbreakable Bond

What do you get when you put Bird and Dee together? A very small dog, a very big dog and one friendship nobody wants to break up.

Bird, a Chihuahua short coat and pug mix, and Dee, a German Shepherd, were found surviving together near a rail line in Chicago.

Now, the pair is looking for a home together after their bond caught wide attention online.

The Anti-Cruelty Society said the two dogs appear to have chosen each other after whatever they endured before being rescued.

“What they went through built a bond that didn’t break when help finally arrived. Now they’re looking for a home that will keep that bond intact, because they’ve already chosen each other,” the group wrote.

Photos shared by the organization show Bird curled up on top of Dee, or tucked closely beside him.

The group said Bird rests on Dee “like she’s claimed him as her safe place.”

“Dee doesn’t mind one bit. He just stays steady beneath her,” the Anti-Cruelty Society wrote.

As of Wednesday, the dogs were still waiting for an adopter willing to take them together.

The Anti-Cruelty Society is asking anyone interested in adopting Bird and Dee to visit its adoption page.
