A Lost Stuffed Toy Had The Vacation Of A Lifetime In Sicily

A lost stuffed toy turned into a hotel-wide rescue mission in Sicily, after staff at the Four Seasons in Taormina reunited a young girl with her cherished plushie, Rosie.

Julia had been staying at the hotel with her mother and, as usual, brought Rosie on the trip. After the stay, Rosie was accidentally swept up with the bedding by housekeepers and left behind.

Julia’s mother messaged the hotel, explained what had happened and attached a photo of Rosie.

Staff later found the toy and sent back more than the stuffed animal. Photos taken by hotel staff showed Rosie posed around the property, including at the pool, at the bar and in bed. Julia’s older sister shared the images on TikTok, where the post was viewed by millions.

The hotel also mailed Rosie back to Julia and covered the shipping costs. Included was a letter written in Rosie’s voice.

“Dear my special friend,” the letter wrote. “When we got separated at the beautiful San Domenico Palace, I was a little worried at first, but the kind people at the hotel took very good care of me while I waited for you.”

“I had quite an adventure! I woke up to sunny mornings, relaxed by the pool, enjoyed delicious breakfasts, and explored some of the lovely corners of the hotel. I even pretended I was a very important guest for a few day!”

“P.S. The San Domenica Palace was lovely, but my favorite place in the whole world is right beside you.”
