It was a tough spot for a young deer in north suburban Northbrook.
A fawn that fell into a window well was rescued by Northbrook police and animal control, authorities said.
The Northbrook Police Department said in a social media post on Wednesday that a resident contacted police to report a fawn that “had found itself in a difficult spot after falling into a window well.”
Photos shared by the department showed the fawn at the bottom of a window well that appeared to be at least 1.5 metres deep.
Police said Animal Control and NPD worked together to safely rescue the fawn.
The fawn was later taken to Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation for evaluation and care, police said.
