Three women survived after their car flipped off a Houston overpass and landed upside down in traffic below, trapping them inside.
Several men who saw the crash ran to help and tried to get the women out while waiting for police and emergency responders.
Jack Johnson told KPRC he acted as soon as he saw what had happened. He said he heard the women screaming, “Get me out. Get me out. Help me! Help me!”
Johnson said hearing those screams left him thinking about his daughters.
“I thought about my little girls,” he said.
He joined the other Good Samaritans helping at the scene. All three women survived the crash.
Johnson told KPRC he would like to speak with the other men who helped.
“Houston comes together. At a time of need, we come together,” he told the station.
