At 91, Alan Still has already picked his next thrill.
Still completed a skydive for Rowleys Centre for the Community in Cranleigh, Surrey, and described the experience as “absolutely exhilarating”.
He said: “I’ll never forget going out of that aeroplane and falling through the air, but it was all over so quickly.”
Staff from Rowleys, which supports residents in the area, visited Still to thank him and give him a special award.
They presented him with a special gift, a “thank you” mug with a photo of his skydive so he can remember it every time he has a cup of tea.
Still said: “I never imagined I’d be doing anything like this at 91, but I enjoyed it so much that I’m now planning more fun adventures.”
He said his next challenge would be a 160.9 km/h zipwire in Wales.
He added: “It gives me something to do and I love the excitement, so why not?”
