Zac Brown Band Gives 35,000 Fenway Park Fans a Free Cruise in Record-Breaking $40 Million Giveaway

Zac Brown Band turned a Fenway Park show into a massive giveaway on Saturday night.

During the band’s Aug. 2 performance at Fenway Park, its 15th consecutive sold-out show at the stadium, Brown told the 35,000 fans in attendance that each of them would get a cruise aboard Margaritaville at Sea.

Just before performing “Same Boat,” his 2022 collaboration with the late Jimmy Buffett, Brown made the announcement from the stage.

“Tonight we’re going to do something that even Jimmy would say is crazy,” Brown said. “I’m buying every single person here a cruise for two people on the boat. This is the biggest giveaway in history ladies and gentlemen, right here tonight at Fenway Park!”

The surprise is valued at more than $40 million and, according to Brown’s reps, is the largest audience gifting in live entertainment history.

Fans can redeem the cruise on select Margaritaville at Sea sailings over the next 12 months.

Margaritaville at Sea is the presenting sponsor of Zac Brown Band’s 27-date Love & Fear tour, which started in July and runs through November. The tour follows the band’s residency at Sphere Las Vegas in December 2025.

In a recent interview with USA TODAY, Brown said the tour is a way to applaud the band’s fans.

“I wanted to show our dedication to them and give them something unique,” he said.

Throughout the tour, Zac Brown Band will also continue to give away four cruises per show. Those fans will receive a cruise aboard the new Beachcomber, which will debut in January 2027 and is home to a live-music-venue-at-sea called Same Boat, curated by Brown.

The Aug. 2 show was livestreamed on nugs.net and broadcast live on SiriusXM’s Radio Margaritaville. The performance is available to watch on demand on nugs.net.
