Tiny Tim got a rough start, and now a new Instagram post is showing how much has changed for the young cheetah.
In the post, the Cheetah Conservation Fund said Tiny Tim was rescued from the illegal wildlife trade in February 2025. At the time, Tim was only a few weeks old and was taken in with three siblings.
The caption said that after recovering, Tim grew into a playful cub and later became big enough to move to a large wild enclosure with his brother Kelce.
The post also pointed to a broader problem. The Cheetah Conservation Fund said young cheetahs are often taken from the wild for trafficking, separating cubs from their mothers and leaving them in fragile condition before rescue teams can intervene.
According to the post, trafficked cubs often need intensive care, close monitoring and ongoing support.
The post highlighted the day-to-day work involved in rescue and rehabilitation, including trained staff, facilities, food, medicine and sustained funding.
In the comments, people praised the group’s work and responded to the cubs’ story.
